If you want to enjoy fresh fish by the sea:
- To Limanaki €€€€ - In Faros, on the pier. Their fish comes directly from their boat, and they are known for the quality and excellent grilling of the fish.
- At Fyssa €€€ - In Herronisos, for fish just 2 meters from the sea.
- Araxovoli €€€ - In Kamares, by the sea. Delicious dishes, generous portions, fresh fish directly from their boat.
- Ammoudia €€€ - In Cheronissos, right on the sand, open from the morning with tasty dishes and fresh fish options.
- Angie €€€ - In Faros. A balcony with a wonderful view, fresh grilled fish, and well-cooked dishes.
For tasty meze, go to:
- Drakakis €€€€ - In Apollonia. One of the oldest in Apollonia, offers an authentic Sifnian atmosphere, serving as a meeting point for locals and visitors alike.
- Mosaiko €€€ - In Artemonas (narrow street). Delicious meze, lovely location. If you are looking for a quiet place, this is not for you.
- Kafenes €€€€ - In Kamares, at BOULIS hotel, in its inner courtyard. Closes at 11 PM, so go early. Traditional meze with local and high-quality ingredients in a peaceful environment.
- Margarita €€€ - In Artemonas, on the main square. Easily accessible, no walking required, located at the old neighborhood café.
- Ambati €€€ - In Artemonas (narrow street). Delightful dishes, centrally located yet quiet, within the traditional settlement.
Greek and Traditional Sifnian cuisine can be enjoyed at:
- Argiris €€€ - Agia Marina area of Kamares. It offers a traditional Greek dining experience with fresh ingredients and a stunning view of the bay.
- Kelari €€€ - At Kato Petali. A family-run tavern renowned for its traditional Sifnian cuisine and grill.
- To Tsikali €€€ - In Vathi, directly on the sand. Many ingredients (meat, vegetables, cheese, etc.) come from their own production.
- Okeanida €€€ - At Vathi, right on the beach, offering a fantastic sunset view.
- Fasolu €€€ - At Fassolou beach. Spacious area with widely spaced tables under the tamarisk trees. If you're going for lunch, reserve early for a shaded table and enjoy swimming afterward!
- To Steki €€€ - In Platis Gialos, on the beach near the pier.
- Simos and Meropi €€€ - In Kamares. Both are next to each other, just a few meters from the port, and have their loyal customers.
- Astro €€€ - In Kastro. A quiet spot with delicious food. Not touristy at all.
- Manolis €€€ - In Vathy. An elevated courtyard by the sea. Great food options and an updated wine list.
- Angeles €€€ - In Artemonas, with their own local meats.
- To Chryso €€€ - In Artemonas. It serves in a large courtyard with a wonderful view and is known for its grilled dishes, especially lamb chops.
- Chrissopigi €€€ - In Apokofto. Traditional Greek cuisine, in a courtyard with tamarisks, by the sea with a view of the Chrissopigi rock.
- To Koutouki tou Apostoli €€€€ - In Apollonia (in the narrow alley). Traditional and Mediterranean cuisine, since 1990, either on the lively walkway of the alley or in the calm of the rooftop terrace.
For Mediterranean cuisine, visit:
- Okyalos €€€€ - In Apollonia (narrow street). Quality ingredients, well-prepared dishes, and an updated wine list.
- Drimoni €€€€ - In Apollonia (main road), with a modern approach to Greek and Mediterranean recipes. Consistently good, without surprises.
- Passione Italiana €€€€ - In Kamares. A small restaurant offering authentic Italian cuisine with an emphasis on pizza and fresh pasta.
- Da Claudio €€€€ - In Kamares. Fast and very friendly service, delicious food with authentic Italian flavors and products.
- Mamma Mia €€€€ - In Apollonia and Platys Gialos. Italian menu with pizza, pasta, very nice main dishes, and fresh ingredients.
- Camaron €€€€ - In Kamares. Italian and Mediterranean cuisine with a more Greek twist. It also offers many vegan options.
- Sunset at Troullaki €€€ - On the road to Cheronissos. Family-run traditional restaurant with excellent food. Beautiful atmosphere and amazing sunset view!
- Delfini €€€ - In Kamares. Family-run, quiet, with a beautiful view of the bay.
- Kouzinaki €€€ - In Apollonia. Lovely balcony in a central spot with a nice view, combining modern and traditional Mediterranean cuisine.
For more Creative cuisine, visit:
- Omega 3 €€€€€€ - On the beach of Platis Gialos. Reservations required (it's a bar restaurant, so don’t expect regular seating). It’s not a place for large portions, but you’ll experience flavors you’ve never imagined!
- Perivoli €€€€€ - In Artemonas. Reservations required. Elegant restaurant with carefully crafted dishes, away from the hustle and bustle, in a quiet garden.
- Cayenne €€€€ - In Apollonia (narrow street), with a modern approach to traditional Greek and Mediterranean recipes.
- Cantina €€€€ - Seralia beach in Kastro. A dining experience where a zero-waste menu is crafted from locally sourced, seasonal ingredients, all within a rustic seaside setting.
- Pelicanos €€€€ - On Faros Beach. Alternative dining options, excellent wine and cocktail selections by the sea.
- Alyelo €€€€ - On Faros beach. A restaurant with creative Greek flavors, combining the tradition of the Cyclades with modern culinary techniques.
- Yalos seaside €€€€€ - In Platy Gialos. Modern Mediterranean cuisine with fresh seafood, local ingredients, and vibrant creativity.
- Bostani €€€€€€ - On the road to Poulati. Greek cuisine with a more creative twist, in a beautiful garden with a view of the Aegean Sea.
- Maiolica €€€€ - In Platis Gialos, right by the sea. Wonderful creative cuisine, with excellent ingredients and fantastic flavor combinations.
- Stiadi €€€€ - In Kastro. Very tasty dishes, with pure flavors and everything beautifully balanced. Set in a lovely environment, either in the alley or on the balcony with a view of the Aegean.

- 7 Seas - In Kamares (Pera Panta), opposite the port, with the best view in Sifnos. Infinity pool restaurant.
- Paralia Beach Bar - In Kamares (Pera Panta), at the end of the beach, right by the sea. Serving coffee, food, and drinks with sea views, self service.
- En Lefkó - In Kamares. A warm and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for enjoying your coffee, breakfast, a light meal, or a drink.
- Fresko - In Apollonia (in the alley). For take-away coffee, juicy crepes, sandwiches, and perfect ice creams.
- Syrma - In Kamares (at Pera Panta). Right on the beach, offering alternative breakfasts and great coffee in the morning, and special snacks and refreshing cocktails until early evening.
- To Flo - In Vathy right on the beach with coffee, puff pastries, and traditional sweets.
- Palmira - In Platy Gialos. For coffee, smoothies, perfect cocktails, and very nice snacks and light meals.
- Cafe-meze Misso Misso - In Platy Gialos. As the name suggests. Open from the morning for coffee and breakfast, in the afternoon with many meze and food, and in the evening with drinks.
- Anemologio - In Kamares, right on the small harbor, peaceful and by the sea. Perfect for coffee with a snack during the day or for a drink or beer in the evening. Friendly service and hospitality.
- Lost Bay - In Platis Gialos. All-day bar that combines the beach with brunch or food and amazing cocktails.
For cocktails with a view:
- Botzi - In Apollonia (narrow street), with a lovely atmosphere.
- Cosi - In Apollonia (narrow street). Go for drinks and sunset views.
- Isalos - In Apollonia (narrow alley), excellent cocktails, delicious food!
- Mantalou - In Apollonia (narrow alley), with pop and rock music.
For drinks & music:
- Doloma - In Apollonia (narrow street), known for its rock music.
- Diachroniko - In the narrow street of Artemonas. Tables are set along the street and in a cozy courtyard, with relaxing music.
- Kavos (also known as "the Cuban") - Located at the last bus stop in Kastro. A magical place for drinks, with amazing views. Calm, relaxing atmosphere.
- Lotzia - At Kastro. An intimate open-air setting where guests can indulge in a curated selection of Greek wines with and panoramic sea views.
- Old Captain’s Bar - In Kamares. The first café-bar that opened on the island. Nice atmosphere, perfect location.
For desserts you'll remember:
- Yfes - In Apollonia (on the main road, next to Drimoni). Known for its beautiful desserts.
- Kitrino Podilato - In Artemonas (narrow street). Delicious, high-quality sweets enjoyed in its lovely courtyard.
- Theodorou - In Artemonas (narrow street). High-quality traditional sweets you can taste in their wonderful courtyard. Don't miss this spot if you want to experience authentic flavors of Sifnos!
- Grigoris - In Artemonas, a few meters to the left of the main square. Known for traditional sweets like almond sweets and local pastries.
- Konaki - In Kastro (at the final bus stop). Delicious treats throughout the day. Ideal for coffee, snacks, and relaxed drinks with soft music.
- Gerontopoulos - In Apollonia. Since 1950, in the heart of Apollonia, offering a wide variety of Sifnian sweets and more.
- Dipseli - In Apollonia. Fresh sweets made with care and wonderful loukoumades. And if you're not in the mood for something sweet, they also offer savory flavors!
- Achni - In Exambela (on the main road). A sweet experience you definitely shouldn’t miss. Creative treats made with style and excellent ingredients!
- To Flo - In Apollonia for delicious almond sweets.
- Sanaki Sofia - In Kato Petali (on the main road). For traditional sweets, cookies, jams, and other handmade treats.
- Krypti - In Kastro. Hidden in the alleys of Kastro, with perfect loukoumades (sweet and savory) and other homemade treats.
- Glyko Perasma - In Artemonas (narrow alley). Crispy, homemade loukoumades paired with perfect ice cream!
- Tratamento - In the alley of Apollonia. Countless flavors of homemade ice cream and delicious, juicy crepes.
Shops & more:
- At Maria's little shop in Apollonia (opposite Dipseli—tip: try the local doughnuts there!), you'll find a traditional Sifnian handmade bag (called "dorvas" or "drouvas"). It's a small, special souvenir.
- You can find handmade jewelry in many shops around the island. We particularly recommend checking out the special collections at Ble and Ariadni, both in the narrow street of Apollonia.
- Don't leave without buying traditional handmade ceramic pots from Sifnos. Thanks to their clay quality, these pots give your food an amazing taste when used in ovens (electric, gas, or wood-fired). Each shop offers unique designs, so explore and find your favorite!
Other Suggestions
- The Narlis Farm is a family-run farm that uses traditional cultivation methods and offers visitors an authentic experience of Sifnian rural life. It offers tours of the crops, participation in certain processes, as well as tastings of traditional foods in a picturesque setting.
